SARAH ESDAILE - WORKING WITH DIRECTORS
Led by fantastic director Sarah Esdaile, this workshop is designed to help prepare you for the 3 years of rehearsals and productions you are about to undertake at Drama School. Knowing how to communicate with your peers and the director effectively in a creative production process can make the a huge difference to a positive working environment and free flow of the collaborative creative process.

THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF PERFORMING ARTS MEDICINE (BAPAM) – CAROL CHAPMAN
This interactive workshop will help participants’ to identify, understand and deal better with their anxieties and stresses; like life changes (new environments, workplace) or losses, working with difficult people, coping with criticism and rivalries, dealing with the production process, career issues, illness and injury and working with one’s strengths and weaknesses as well as issues from the past. She will introduce and demonstrate various ways of coping with anxiety and stress, ranging from the very practical, like having a healthy lifestyle, using relaxation techniques and good time management, to the more psychological, such as challenging negativity and self-criticism and how to find professional help.  Anxiety and stress can creep up on us without us even noticing and the stresses of a degree course can place particular stress and anxiety on an student so why not be pre-emptive to even the mildest anxiety and learn how to deal with it all better.

Questions and comments will be encouraged and participants should acquire both insights and practical suggestions.

Please note - the Freshers Fair has now been replaced with goodie bags with information and goodies from all the major industry players.

WORKSHOP SIGN UP WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE EVENT ONLY... SIGN UP STARTS 1 HOUR BEFORE THE COURSE START...LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE...NOTE: WORKING WITH DIRECTORS RUNS TWICE DURING THE DAY.
